Question concerning e-book sharing for the Amazon Kindle?
My wife and me have been looking up information concerning different e-readers on the market for both myself and her. We are both really impressed with what the Amazon Kindle can bring to the table more then other readers. I was wondering though, if i purchase a book through the Kindle store on Amazon and have my wife's Kindle and my Kindle registered to me, can she read the book as well or will she have to purchase the book so she can read it?
As long as the kindles are registered to both accounts you can share books with up to 5 devices usually. There are some rare instances where the publisher only allows one device to be connected, but my husband and I haven't run into that yet in any of the books we've wanted to read over the last 6 months. We share an account and all our books with no problem. And note, that's 5 devices, not 5 downloads. You can download to any given device as many times as you want, but only have the book on 5 different devices simultaneously (ie iPhone, PC, Kindles). The only problem is you can't sync to the furthest page read if you're both reading the same book since it will take whoever is furthest (including finishing the book)
