Is is good to remove laptop battery and just use the charger to power it?
i recently de-attached the laptop battery from the laptop and just plugged charger into the laptop and the wall. So im using it like a desktop, is this a good idea?
I have been using my laptop like that for about a year and I have no problems. My charger is a 65 watt charger. If the power goes out your laptop turns off though.
If you leave your laptop on charge all of the time with your battery in it will go bad because new batteries have about 300 to 500 charge cycles. This means if you plug in your laptop then unplug it you just accumulated a charge cycle on the battery.
