The Gulfport, Mississippi, beaches safe for swimming?
I reward my child since the age of college success in their classrooms with a trip to beach - white sand and blue waters. I read on Trip Advisor that the beaches in Gulfport, Mississippi, were dangerous for swimming but claims the Mississippi Gulf website that are safe and cleaned by a mile. Can anyone give me the real scoop?
Yes, the beaches are open and safe for swimming. However, If you are looking for "white sand and blue waters, I travel to the east Pensacola Beach, and Destin, Florida. The water is green, but my point. The water along the Gulf Coast of MS tends to be brown, unless you take a boat beyond the small barrier islands.
