Storm Hunter has become more advanced with the development of new cheaper technologies to help them in their quest for adventure and public service. One of the major developments has been the portable anemometer. These devices allow the hunter storm amateur take wind speed measurements in the field. This allows them to better report their observations to the weather service offices. These measures in the past has often been be estimated, leading to possible inaccuracies. Some of the more advanced models even allow the hunter and download the file information your PC after his return to the field.
The technology was only available to researchers at the University is in the past. Since more people are involved in the storm hunting or spotting, these instruments will likely be more affordable and widespread. If popularity is due to media increasingly focusing on climate related events, or is it because the public is increasingly interested in the effects of global warming and other changes in global climate remains to be seen.
Some new technologies includes anemometers that can do the following:
Measured by the direction of a digital compass.
File Information.
Table of information real-time weather.
The technique is relatively inexpensive and can be purchased at any time of specialty retailers.
It will be interesting to see what tools in the years to come and help fans become more sophisticated and scientific about their hobby.

Looking for decent housing, affordable indoor outdoor thermometer /?
Does anyone here have experience and suggestions for Indoor / Outdoor Thermometer / Weather Station? I had a terrible experience with SP LaCrosse () Technologies Unit to throw away. I heard many bad things from Oregon Scientific also offers. The only thing that struck me is the unity OS WeatherNow. I realize this is not a thermometer, because it is based on the MSN Direct service, but I know my wife as a basis for predictions. For Currently, at least I'm not too excited about creating something other than an external temperature sensor. I am willing to pay a little certain quality. Some of the things I've seen is just garbage. Any thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.
I bought a thermometer / outdoor indoor and some years ago does not work. I prefer to use a thermometer to extinguish. I bought one of those who are about 5 feet high that stick in the ground, and good works. Just not in direct sunlight, because within the hour summer, the thermometer reads 120 degrees when he was only 90. It is also very strong. We had some wind storms and not not be slaughtered. He was leaning a little after the storm, but not separated from the earth. One of my realities also one that connects to the window, So you have to go outside to get the temperature. You look just outside the window. That works very well too.
