la crosse ws2300 weather station?
Hi I have the above weather station, unfortunately the wind sensor has failed, I have the impellor type (the small built in fan), I have been told that the wind sensor with wind cups is a better solution, has anyone with the same weather station experienced similar problems?
Yes a weather station with wind cups is a lot better. I have a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station. It is very accurate, and receives a signal every 3 seconds, almost guarantee to get a wind gust during a storm. It is a little pricey, but worth it. They start at $500. Mine was a little over a $1000 and i prob have put $500 more in to it with poles and anchoring supplies.
