Wet Humidity

How to control humidity in cricket container?
I'm doing a science experiement on the effects of different temps/humidities on crickets, I want to keep them in sections of a fish tank, if I was to fashion a plastic wrap cover with holes to allow ventilation, would this have a big effect on the humidity of the enclosed space? (compared to the humidity without the holes), I would have some sort of pond or wet sponge inside to make more humid.
Yep. Big impact on humidity with plastic wrap - the holes probably won't decrease humidity as much as you might think. Do yourself a big favor and by a hygrometer (humidity gauge) that is digital - relatively inexpensive and with a digital probe - such as zilla or flukers you can keep the gauge in one easy to read spot and move the prob around - far more accurate reading than the non-digitals. I would also suggest doing some comparative humidity readings prior to adding crickets.
For what it's worth if you are using the standard pet supply type feeder crickets they tend to die fairly quickly in high humidity and stink badly while decomposing in high humidity - just a bit of forewarning. Good luck with the project.
